The Louvre Abu Dhabi is an art and civilization museum, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The museum was inaugurated on 8 November 2017 by French President Emmanuel Macron and United Arab Emirates Vice President Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Designed by Pritzker-prize winning architect Jean Nouvel, the Louvre Abu Dhabi encompasses 9,200 sq. m of galleries including the Permanent Gallery and a Temporary Gallery that is enriched by loans from many notable French museums including Musee du Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, and Centre Pompidou.

Key Things to Know Before You Book:

• Everyone must carry the Original Passport while traveling.
• The duration of the tour includes both pickups and drop-off timings as well.
• Opening time of mosque: 9 AM to 8 PM (everyday) & 5 PM – 8 PM (Fridays).
• The mosque is closed to tourists on certain dates and is usually communicated by the authorities only a few days through prior notice.
• The Grand Mosque remains closed during any Islamic festival, as per UAE law.
• Women must wear long loose clothing, ensuring their arms and legs are fully covered with headcover all the time. For the mosque visit, the company provides a long, local abaya with the scarf (long black dress-attire) for women if needed, must be returned back. Men must not show above their knees and cover their shoulders, covering tattoos. Failure to do so will result in refusal of entry. The company does not provide any kind of clothes to men.
• The tour does not operate on Fridays during the Holy month of Ramadan.
• Louvre Abu Dhabi shall remain closed on Mondays.
• Two hours (120 minutes) is set-aside for the Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi visit.
• Please note that lunch is not included in this tour. You will get the opportunity to buy food along the way, or you are welcome to bring some snacks with you. Please note that eating in the mosque or museum is prohibited, so please plan for eating before or after these visits. The Louvre has a lovely cafeteria where you can buy lunch if you wish.
• Tour duration is fixed for all tours/activities, but it may vary depending on the city traffic.
